I love Pictures....A picture is worth a thousand words. I wanna write about my experiences but its just too much.. I don't even know where to start... So by putting pictures on here, maybe you can get to know more about me... Here I am with my family and friends. :)

Beauty is Power

What do I think about 'Beauty is Power?' Well, beauty can be in any form... beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Whether be ones looks or personality... a person can be beautiful in different ways, you can be beautiful for having grace and elegance, you can be beautiful for being humble, you can be beautiful for having a good heart... All of this is beauty.

Beauty inspires people. Humans love beautiful things... with beauty, they get inspired. For example, an ameteur artist admires the paintings of Leonardo Da Vinci. This ameteur tries to paint as good a Da Vinci himself because he admires Da Vinci's works.Now, Da Vinci is influencing this artist... By that, Da Vinci has referent power over this artist.

So, What is 'Beauty is Power'? Beauty is inspiration, inspiration is influence, and influence is Power.

Asian Super Model Contest 2009

In July 2009, I went to China along with Cassandra Patrick and Eleen Yong to participate in the Asian Super Model Contest. I've got to say that it is a very tiring experience... we were rehearsing non-stop for about 9 days to make this event a sucessful one... But I had a great time. It was my first time travelling to China. This event took place in the Guang Xi TV station in Nanning China. I wanna thank Ashley for giving me a chance to participate and also Cassandra and Eleen for teaching me catwalk. :)

I joined Miss Malaysia Universe 2009, and i wrote about my experience in my other private blog... So now i am just gonna copy and paste it in here starting from... Now.

This May, I entered Miss Malaysia Universe 2009. I was contestant number 9, Gabrielle Ashley Boudville. Hahaha. I am not afraid to write my full name online anymore. :P and apparently i am the mongolian in this competition :P..anyone that doesn,t know me who is reading this, i am Eurasian( french , portuguese, Chinese) :D..My parents also found out about this competition and asked me to join. So I went for the interview.We had training for approximately a week before the final day, i learned a lot, Peter Lum was our groomer, i always got scolding from him, hahaha because my mind was drifting someplace else the whole time(according to him :P) ... but his intentions were good. And Peter’s sister Karlai WAS AWESOME!!! I was talking about serial killers to some of the girls when i found out that she was also interested in Psychology and True Crime! I was so excited to discuss about this topic with her! And she even gave me quite a number of books on True Crime! But unfortunately I haven’t read it yet...i will soon though, when I am free. Thanks Karlai! If you ever read this. :D
I got to meet the lots and lots of kool sponsors! I am really thankful... and we got loads of free stuff... i favourite free stuff was the Tennis Dress that Ana Ivanovic wears!!! I LOVE IT! Thanks ADIDAS! And normally i don’t wear colors but Jaspal gave me this really nice mini blue dress. Roxy gave us a swimsuit.. never imagined that i will ever wear a bikini but it was awesome. and other sponsors like Adonis and Rmk gave us a lot too...

I came to this competition unprepared, I mean, I don’t even have a single idea of what beauty queens were supposed to do, I learned a lot. We had to look good at all times, we were constantly photographed. We had to visit sponsors a lot. And the most challenging part was SMILING!!! Damn it was so effing hard to smile the whole day, if you watched the videos on TV, my face was like ‘ Can i stop smilling now?’ hahahahaha... Oh yea...Some people thought we were shemales! Hahahaa. I take that as a compliment, becuase shemales are really hot. :P
I got the chance to meet a lot of famous people... I didn’t really recognise most of them :X ... sorry, out dated :X ... but now i know a few.. i got to meet former beauty queens like Maggie Loo( she is so sweet! Always giving advice, talking about God... her sister was awesome too!) , Natalie Glebova is really really HOT I got to say. Hahaha! She was Miss Universe 2005 and I got the chance to meet and talk to her too, we were talking about normal stuff, and there was one point where I was talking about Tennis with her, she said she isn’t really a big fan of tennis but she was going to Wimbledon is year. I didn’t even realise that Natalie’s husband is A TENNIS PLAYER until I was watching Wimbledon! Freakin' awesome.

The hotel that we stayed in was awesome too, The Royale Chulan, quite new but nice... it was really cold and big! there is this hall(something like an outdoor ballroom, infront of the cafeteria), it was so beautiful, white marble floor i think, we had an islamic fashion show there after the competition. Ahahaha. And the Staff there was really friendly! And i LOVE the Buffet there! Ahahahahaha... we were supposed to go on a diet but I ate like a cow there, I LOVE the chocolate fountain. HAHAHAHAHA!!! The hotel GM is very funny. hahaha. he said he has 3 favourites, and i am one of them. hahaha.

Date of birth : October 5th 1990... I am gonna turn 19 next month :)
Race: Eurasian ... I am a mixed of French , Portuguese and Chinese.
Body: I have a great body.. I am not to thin nor too fat... I have an Atheletic body.. I am quite toned with just enough muscle. :)

I am Currently studying in Limkokwing University in Cyberjaya and I recently just became Student Ambassador. :)

My interests

True Crime
I love reading about true crime, especially the ones about serial killers/killers. You ask me anything about killers like Jeffrey Dahmer,Bathory, Gilles De Rais ,etc... I can tell you all about it :). what I am also interested in is the psychology of these killers, their disorders , their thoughts, it has always interest me. It makes me realize that these so called monsters are only just Humans.

Tennis

I have to really really practice on my tennis skills. I love watching tennis though... My favourite male player is Rafa Nadal. Although he isn't doing that well now.. but he is improving... Plus he is a very humble person, unlike some tennis players *cough*, he loves his fans unlike some tennis players *cough*.. he doesn't blame the lighting when he loses, unlike some tennis players *cough*... I LOVE YOU RAFA! :D .. as for women tennis players, my favourites keeps changing, I like Ana Ivanovic a lot, but she doesn't play well, Safina too, I prefer Venus over Serena for obvious reasons... :P... What I can say about women's tennis is that it isn't consistent...

Music

I love music, but not the mainstream music. I love Metal Music or music associated with metal... Melo Death metal bands such as In Flames, Cradle of Filth and Arch Enemy.. Deathcore such as Suicide Silence, Oceano... Grindcore such as heavy heavy low low, Nasum etc... Bands like Pantera, Deftones... the softer music that I listen to are bands like Depeche Mode, The Cure, Alice Cooper... theres a wide range that i listen to... and its awesome music! \m/

Movies

I love movies like City of God, American History X, the Godfather , A clockwork Orange,Reservoir Dogs, American Psycho ,Girl Interrupted, The Green Mile... Movies like these.. you get the general idea ;)

Books

Chronicle of Crime, The World Greatest Serial Killers, Pride and Prejudice, The shoemaker... books like these...

Russian

I am trying to learn Russian, I dont know why but I took interest in the language just recently... I can only say a few lines and words.. but I am still learning unprofessionally.

Joining Miss World Malaysia.

I got to say that when I was a kid, when I watched these pageants on TV, I saw beautiful women, but I did not see the point of why they joined these beauty pageants... I mean, what was the point? As I grew older, I didn't keep up with beauty pageants at all. But in May this year, I did the unexpected by joining Miss Malaysia Universe. Hahaha, my friends were suprised that I joined.
Me being all dark and mysterious, people were scared of me. hahaha.. because if i don't smile, people will think that I am angry or something... hahaha.. Actually I am very friendly :)... I describe myself as 'Keras' on the outside but soft-hearted on the inside... I practically can mix with anyone.

Okay okay, so... I join MMU, had a good time, good experience, but my heart wasn't in it to win it. I was like whatever la... I didn't even reached the top 8... and you know why? its all psychology... I wasn't focusing for the goal... I know why Joanna Belle won that night... She had so much of positive energy, for example, she didn't sulk or took things personally when she got scolded by our groomer (sorry Peter, I know you did this for our own good :)... ), she just laughed it off. She was thinking positively, she was humble, thats why she shone that night...

Okay... then came Miss World Malaysia. I didn't want to join, It was a last minute thing, I went to the auditions to wait for my friend Doly to audition, we were going fabric hunting after that.. Then the organizer was persuading me to join...I signed the form. Omg.. the video of me was so bad huh? hahaha ... The Judges asked me whether I wanted to be Miss World Malaysia 2009 or not... I said No... but wait... after that I said ' If I join Miss World Malaysia, I want to win, I want to be prepared for this, I want to be the best for Malaysia, so I will join next year...'

And so the organizer Hazel gave me to think about it... then I realized Why Not? I can do my best and try to be the best Now, rather then waiting for next year... its now or never... If I am not the best, it doesn't matter, at least there is a better contestant out there to represent Malaysia.. But for now, I am gonna try very hard to be That contestant.

The girls were talking about a blog where they posted hurtful critisisms about all the girls... and I got the worst one... he/she commented that I am the Fugliest of the lot?

I know that that profile picture wasn't my best picture... I'll prove to you that I am not ugly or the ugliest... first of all... you think the MWM organizers are stupid or something? all of the girls that entered arenhot, they got chosen for a reason.

You can't just judge them from only that particular photoshoot... you should see them in person and you should see more of their pictures then judge...

When I heard that they told me that I am the fugliest of the lot, I was hurt at first. But I realize that its just stupid to sulk over this stupid shit...

I know myself and I know that I sure am far from being Fugly! If i was fugly, I wouldn't even be modeling... if i was fugly, the organizers wouldn't even ask me to join... if I was fugly, people wouldn't even look at me twice...

Nevermind la, as a model/ beauty queen... we have to tolerate these type of comments.So now, what I can do it just focus and stay positive.As the former winners of MWM(Deborah Henry, Lina Teoh) and MMU(Yasmin Yusoff, Elaine Daly) said, 'You can't please everyone.'

My Experience...

Privyet, Menya Zovut Gabrielle :P... haahaha.. Hey everyone... My name is Gabrielle Boudville, I am turning this October(my DOB is October 5,1990). I am one of the Miss World Malaysia finalist... hopefully the Winner soon :P ... I am so excited to start this blog... which I think is an awesome idea for Miss World Malaysia because you viewers can get to know us more personally now... And I will write everything here with honest truth :)

I am starting to write about my experience from 2008...
So, here goes...

My life was pretty normal at first , but it started to take a huge turn when I finished secondary school. After secondary school. I took up a modeling course at University College Sedaya International(UCSI) in early January. I was given the chance to model, I did runway shows and appeared on adverts in newspapers for that college. And I also got Best Student for that course :) . After that, I entered MODA’s Malaysian Young Models Competition in mid 2008, I only managed to get into top 12.

The University

In July 2008, I enrolled in Limkokwing University to study fashion design, Limkokwing has changed my life tremendously, and I don't regret a day enrolling in this university. We get good education here, the teachers are super awesome.. and plus I get to make a lot of friends from around the world, which is another awesome thing. My knowledge has been broadened, and it's broadening still from mixing with differently cultured people... When I was a kid, I had a hard time fitting in in primary and secondary school... I felt that I was an outsider... because normally people mixed with their own races and it was hard for me to find someone that I can bond with, you can say that I had a rough time... But everything changed when I joined Limkokwing... they accepted me straightaway... I was even the freshie queen on Freshie's prom night :P

My best friends are all from different countries. Just by observing around the campus, you can see that all the races mixes together without any prejudice. I am really awed by this. Not only am I learning fashion design, I am also learning about other cultures and different people.Limkokwing also gave me the chance to model. I participated in a vast amount of photoshoots and fashion shows there...

What I don't appriciate is that when i say that I am a LKW student, some people make faces of dissaproval. Come on la.. you will never know how that university is like unless you have been in it... and I got to say its a very very unique experience.

I got the chance to be an F1 grid girl! :D I was Holding the British flag for Hamilton! hahaha... so kool right? Eventhough I am not quite and F1 fan, its still so awesome...

May 2009 MMU

I entered Miss Malaysia Universe, I only managed to be in the top 18,but I have got to say that it was also a great experience, I mean, I learnt a lot. Especially from Peter Lum, not only did he teach me how to take care of my physical self, but he also gave me long long lectures about being the best you can be personality wise... This contest helped me gain more confidence.

July 2009

I get to travel to China for the first time! Eleen Yong, Cassandra Patrick and I entered the Asian Super Model Contest which was held in Nanning... We worked sooo hard during that 9 days... we had rehersals from morning to night almost everyday non-stop...but everything went great.. I learnt catwalk from both Cass and Eleen, which i am so grateful for... :)
